In September of 1995 Romawa B.V. and the American Company Adams Atomic Engines joined forces in the promotion of the nuclear gasturbine.

Adams Atomic Engines is run by Rodney Adams, from Annapolis, Maryland.

"Adams Engines has developed a reasonable and practical way to produce nuclear engines with power outputs of between 1 and 100 MWe."

Our engines will be closed cycle gas turbines using nitrogen heated in a graphite moderated nuclear reactor. These engines have the potential to make heavy metals (uranium, thorium and plutonium) viable fuel options for a wide variety of applications including transportation and independent power projects.

The plan is to use series production techniques and the economy of unit volume instead of the economy of scale as the basis for allowing nuclear power to successfully compete with other fuel alternatives."
